Upcoming Developments in 2006 at Khutse
4x4 Trail. The ever popular pastime of competing against the rugged
bush terrain is coming to Khutse. There are 4x4 trails and then there's the
Kalahari, which pits drivers' skills against the desert sands. This will be
unlike any 4x4 trail encountered.
Horse and Camel Safaris. The Kalahari desert is home to the hardy camel
and bush horses that inhabit this arid region. The never-ending bush and pans
surrounding Khutse make these safaris the ultimate 'one with nature' experience.
The night sky as only the unpolluted expanse of the Kalahari can provide.
To study and understand the heavens with their constantly rotating stars and
excitement of fiery comets. A must when seen through powerful telescopes that
let you into the sea of tranquillity on an evening's full moon. Night sky
weekends planned in 2006.
There is a large variety of bird life only encountered in the depths of the
Kalahari. The pans and bush are home to vast numbers of bird life seen
in the splendour of their natural habitat. Bird club weekends are planned to
identify even the rarest of species.
Jazz in the bush. A weekend of music to soothe the troubled
stresses of modern life. Only 2/3 hours drive from Gaborone. |
